Match Recap
Italo Moreira Barcelos settled this K League 1 clash just before the half, turning a tense afternoon into a 1-0 away win for Jeju United FC at Gangwon FC. His 36th-minute finish proved decisive in a fixture short on history: the two sides have met only once before, sharing the points in a draw, so this was the first time either had actually beaten the other. In the table, Jeju United now sit fourth on 43 points with two wins from their last five, just ahead of fifth-placed Gangwon FC, who have squeezed out only one win across the same stretch despite four draws. Barcelos doesn't rank among the K League 1's top ten scorers this season, a list still topped by Matheus Oliveira's nine goals, but he won't care about the company he keeps tonight. His strike is the only reason to relive this one, so go watch the 36th-minute breakthrough that decided it.
