Junior 1–1 Deportivo Pereira

Jermein Pena needed just five minutes to get Junior moving, but Deportivo Pereira would not fold, and Anderson Plata's 58th-minute finish pegged the hosts back to a 1-1 draw in Primera A. Junior sit second with 35 points and arrive in this one off a mixed DLLWW stretch, while bottom-of-the-table Pereira, 20th on just 10 points, have not won in five and leave with another point to show for a stubborn defensive effort rather than a result. History favored Junior coming in, having won the only previous meeting between these sides, but Pereira's resistance this time denied them the follow-up. Neither H. Rodallega, the league's 18-goal top scorer, nor anyone else from the division's elite got on the scoresheet here, leaving the afternoon to Pena and Plata instead. Two goals, two very different tables, one share of the spoils. Watch how Pena's early strike set the tone and how Plata's second-half leveler turned a routine home win into a fight for survival, in the goal highlights below.
