Marquense 1–0 Malacateco

Marquense didn't need fireworks against Malacateco, just one moment of quality. Oscar Linton found the breakthrough in the 66th minute, turning a tense, goalless Liga Nacional derby into three points with a single well-timed strike. It's the kind of result that squares an uneven recent history between these two clubs, who have split their last two meetings evenly with one win apiece. Neither side boasts the league's clinical edge, N. Martinez's 21-goal haul at the top of the Liga Nacional charts stands well clear of Saturday's scoresheet, a reminder of how scarce goals were on this occasion. That scarcity makes Linton's finish even more valuable: with the game locked at 0-0 for over an hour, one clean strike was always going to define the afternoon, and Marquense made sure it fell their way. Malacateco pushed for a response but couldn't find the breakthrough of their own, leaving Marquense to close it out. Watch how Linton's 66th-minute goal cuts through a stubborn defensive stalemate in the highlights below.
