Match Recap
Peter Federico González Carmona settled this Ekstraklasa clash almost single-handedly, striking either side of the break to send Gornik Zabrze past Korona Kielce 2-0. His first arrived in the 41st minute to break the deadlock, and just when Korona looked to be pushing for a leveler, he popped up again in the third minute of stoppage time to put the result beyond doubt. The win keeps league leaders Gornik firing, now unbeaten in four of their last five with 18 points from five games, while Korona slip to eighth despite a run of form that had shown genuine promise. History was already tilting Gornik's way too. Korona haven't beaten their visitors in any of the last three meetings between the sides. With Gornik's top scorer nowhere near the league's summit yet, González Carmona's brace is the kind of statement that puts him firmly in the conversation. Catch both goals, including that ice-cold stoppage-time finish, in the highlights below.
