Match Recap
It took a stoppage-time gut-punch to settle this one. Jesus Figueroa buried the equalizer in the ninth minute of injury time to drag Alianza Petrolera level with Rionegro Aguilas at 2-2, undoing what had looked like a winning afternoon for one side. The goals came thick and fast: Iván Rojas opened the scoring in the 21st minute, Anthony Vásquez doubled up right before the break, and Misael Martinez struck again at the death before Figueroa's leveler flipped the script completely. The point matters more for Rionegro, who sit 12th on 26 points despite a shaky WLLDL run, than for Alianza, 17th but riding three wins in five under a LWLWW stretch. It also snapped Alianza's head-to-head frustration against these opponents, having lost the only previous meeting between the two Primera A sides without a point to show for it. Watch Figueroa's stoppage-time strike, the goal that turned a losing scoreline into a shared one in the cruelest possible way.
