Match Recap
Waalwijk and Emmen traded blows and settled for a point apiece in a tight Eerste Divisie draw. Jesse van de Haar put the home side ahead in the 28th minute, finishing off a spell of Waalwijk pressure, but Emmen refused to fold and Bryan Van Hove leveled things in the 61st to send the away fans home with something to show for the trip. The two sides arrived in contrasting form, Emmen sitting sixth on 15 points against Waalwijk's ninth-place 13, but Waalwijk could point to history on their side after winning the only previous meeting between the clubs. Neither Van de Haar nor Van Hove threatens D. Zandbergen's grip on the league's scoring charts, but both strikes mattered plenty on the day, canceling each other out in a match that never let either side settle. For the full picture of how Van de Haar's opener and Van Hove's response unfolded, the goal highlights tell the story better than any scoreline can.
