Brann 0–2 Viking

Viking didn't need long to settle this one. Henrik Heggheim put the visitors ahead inside 11 minutes, and Peter Christiansen doubled the lead just nine minutes later, and from there Brann never found a way back into the Eliteserien clash. The scoreline tells a wider story too: Viking sit top of the table on 50 points after their 2-0 win at Brann, while the hosts remain stuck in seventh on 29, their mixed WLLDW form doing them no favors against the league's pace-setters. It continues a difficult recent run for Brann against this opponent, who they've already lost to in their last meeting. Amin Chiakha still leads the Eliteserien scoring charts, untouched by either of today's goalscorers, but Heggheim and Christiansen made sure their names were the ones that mattered on the day. Two goals in the opening 20 minutes effectively ended the contest before it had properly begun, Brann chasing shadows for the rest of the afternoon. Catch both strikes, including Heggheim's early opener that set the tone, in the highlights below.
