Match Recap
Mallorca turned this one into a one-sided statement inside Segunda División, and Pablo Torre got it rolling in the 27th minute before Alex Sala doubled the lead early in the second half. Iván Jaime pulled one back for Las Palmas in the 73rd, but Adrian Fuentes slammed the door shut nine minutes later to make it 3-1. The result lines up with where both sides sit in the table: Mallorca, fourth with 17 points and riding a WDLWW run, look every bit the side in form, while Las Palmas, 14th on 11 points after a LDLLW stretch, are still searching for consistency. Four different names on the scoresheet, two from Mallorca's own ranks doing the heavy lifting, and Las Palmas never found a real way back in after Jaime's goal. Mallorca's quality on the day showed in the spread of contributors rather than one standout name. Watch how Fuentes put the result beyond doubt in the 82nd minute, the goal that closed out Las Palmas's night for good.
