Match Recap
Pachuca and Necaxa traded blows in a Liga MX thriller that finished 3-3, but it was Salomón Rondón who stole the headlines with a late double in the 84th and 87th minutes to snatch a point out of nowhere. Necaxa looked beaten for most of the night. Matias Espindola got them going in the 15th, Julián Carranza made it two before the break, and Eduardo Dos Santos added a third deep into first-half stoppage time, only for Juan Valencia to pull Pachuca back into it on 79 minutes before Rondón's two-goal burst completed the turnaround. The six-goal shootout was a wild result for a Pachuca side that came in on a 2-5 record and 12 points, while bottom-of-the-table Necaxa, winless in five, somehow walk away with a share of the spoils despite dominating the scoresheet for 75 minutes. Pachuca had won both recent meetings between these two, so this draw breaks that run in Necaxa's favor. Rondón's late heroics are the whole story here, catch both of his equalizing strikes in the highlights below.
