Match Recap
David Roi Nyengue broke the deadlock for Cameroon just before halftime, and Bryan Mbeumo needed only three minutes after the restart to double the lead in this Africa Cup of Nations qualifier. Comoros pulled one back almost immediately through Warmed Omari, cutting the gap to 2-1 and giving the visitors a foothold, but Cameroon never let the game slip away. Danny Namaso put the result beyond doubt in the 81st minute, sealing a 3-1 win that keeps Cameroon's qualification campaign firmly on track. None of the four scorers currently sit among the league's top ten, where M. Munetsi leads the way with two goals, but this was a team effort built on quick strikes at both ends of the match rather than individual brilliance. Cameroon controlled the key moments, answering Comoros' response within minutes and closing it out with a goal that took any doubt off the table. Three different scorers, a two-minute reply from Comoros, and a decisive late strike make this one worth watching goal by goal, starting with Nyengue's opener just before the break.
