Match Recap
Gabriel Barbosa waited until the 87th minute to decide this Serie A meeting, and the timing could not have hurt Remo more. Rony had put Santos ahead in the 78th, Marllon leveled for the home side five minutes later, and for a moment it looked like Remo might snatch something from a season that has offered them almost nothing so far. Then Barbosa struck again to make it 2-1 to the visitors. The defeat extends a run of five straight losses for Remo, who sit 19th, while Santos arrive unbeaten in five and sit eighth on 38 points. Remo have not beaten Santos in either of their last two meetings, and this result kept that record intact. Barbosa isn't yet among Serie A's top ten scorers this season, someone Kaio Jorge tops with 24 goals, but with three minutes left he delivered the goal that mattered most. Watch how he found the gap, and how little time Remo had left to answer.
