Match Recap
Apollon Limassol let a two-goal cushion slip against APOEL Nicosia, settling for a 2-2 draw that neither side will be thrilled with. G. Rodrigues put the hosts ahead inside six minutes, only for K. Stafylidis to level almost immediately at the 13th. K. Laifis restored Apollon's lead right before the break, and it looked like the home side would see it out until F. Pedrozo struck in the 61st to snatch a share of the points for APOEL. The result leaves Apollon fifth on 5 points with a DWD run, while APOEL sit 11th on 3 after an LWL stretch, a table picture that hints this was more even than Apollon's dominant head-to-head record against their rivals suggested going in. With R. Mmaee still the league's top scorer elsewhere, this one was decided by four different finishers trading blows. Watch how Pedrozo's 61st-minute leveler unraveled Apollon's control of the match in the highlights below.
