Match Recap
Nikola Vasic needed just five second-half minutes to turn Mjallby AIF's afternoon into a rout, doubling his tally with goals in the 54th and 59th after Joackim Aberg had already put Gais ahead in the 13th. By the hour mark it was 0-3, and Mjallby never found an answer. The result stretches a grim Allsvenskan run for the home side, who sit 12th on 22 points with no wins in their last five (DDLLL), while Gais climb to 10th on 27 points after snapping a stretch of just one win in their own last five. It also settles the head-to-head: the two sides' only previous meeting ended level, so this is Gais' first win in the series. Neither scorer sits among the league's top ten yet, with P. Abraham still out front on 16, but Vasic's brace did the damage long before full time. Watch both of his strikes, plus Aberg's opener, in the highlights below.
