Match Recap
Qarabag didn't need fireworks to make a statement in the Premyer Liqa, just one sharp finish. M. Jankovic broke the deadlock in the 61st minute, and that was enough to see off Safa Baku 1-0. The scoreline undersells how one-sided the form lines looked coming in: Qarabag arrived third in the table on 10 points with three wins from four and a DWWW run, while Safa Baku sat tenth on just one win in five, dragging an LLLWL slump into this one. Jankovic's goal only stretched that gap further, and for a Safa Baku side already searching for answers, this result won't help. There was no barrage of goals, no late twist, just a single moment of quality settling things. Head to the match page to watch Jankovic's 61st-minute strike land the winner and see exactly how Qarabag broke Safa Baku's resistance.
