Malacateco 2–0 Suchitepéquez

Malacateco controlled the Liga Nacional clash from start to finish, grinding out a clean-sheet 2-0 victory over Suchitepéquez that never looked in doubt once the opening goal arrived. E. Quinones broke the deadlock on 58 minutes, giving the home side the lead they had been building toward, and Suchitepéquez found no way back into it. N. Andrade wrapped things up in the 89th minute, sealing three points with a late finish that killed any lingering hope of a comeback. With N. Martinez still leading the league on 21 goals, neither scorer in this match is threatening the Liga Nacional golden boot race, but Malacateco's defensive solidity tells its own story: a second goal in stoppage time is the kind of ruthlessness that wins games before the opposition even blinks. Andrade's 89th-minute strike is the one to watch.
