Match Recap
Mirassol held their ground against the top side in Serie A, earning a 1-1 draw that Palmeiras will feel they should have won. Eduardo put the hosts ahead five minutes into the second half, a lead that lasted until Mauricio equalized in the 75th minute. Palmeiras, sitting top of Serie A with 51 points, had to settle for a single point against a side occupying 18th place on 24. Mirassol's record against this opponent is quietly interesting: across their last three meetings, they have won once, drawn once, and lost once, making this the second time in that run they have avoided defeat. Kaio Jorge leads Serie A scoring with 23 goals this season; none of the scorers today rank among the top ten. See whether Eduardo's 50th-minute finish is everything the table gap says it shouldn't be.
