Arema FC 1–1 Persik Kediri

Persik Kediri stunned the host inside six minutes when Z. Fariz slotted home the opener, only for Arema FC to claw level through Matheus Blade's 30th-minute strike, leaving this Liga 1 matchday with honors shared. The 1-1 draw at least keeps Arema ticking over in fifth, sitting on four points after a win and a draw so far, while Persik slip to ninth on three points following a mixed win-loss start. History offered no clues either way: the sides have split their last two meetings evenly, one win apiece. Neither Fariz nor Blade will trouble D. da Silva atop the Liga 1 scoring charts anytime soon, with the league leader already on 21 goals and counting, but both strikes mattered plenty to their own sides tonight. Fariz's early poke and Blade's leveler are the two moments worth rewinding, so catch both goals in the highlights below and see who really deserved the win.
