New Mexico United 2–3 Sacramento Republic

Sacramento Republic looked in control after Marc Rodriguez struck twice, but this USL Championship clash turned into a five-goal shootout at New Mexico United's expense. Rodriguez opened the scoring in the 12th minute and doubled his tally in the 49th, putting the visitors firmly ahead before Gaby Hurst, one of only ten players in the league to reach four goals this season, pulled one back in the 73rd. Kalil Edwards restored Sacramento's two-goal cushion just five minutes later, and although Lamar Archimede's 85th-minute finish set up a nervy final stretch, New Mexico ran out of time to complete the comeback. The result lifts Sacramento to 37 points despite sitting sixth, while table-leading New Mexico United, second on 43 points, will be frustrated to have let a home game slip into a goal fest. With a brace from Rodriguez and Hurst's continued scoring streak both on display, there's plenty to rewatch, especially that frantic finish when Archimede's late strike had the home crowd believing for one wild minute.
