Herrera 1–3 UMECIT

O. Almanza needed just 20 minutes of work to put this Liga Panameña de Fútbol contest beyond Herrera. The UMECIT forward opened the scoring at 12 minutes, H. Peralta added a second at 19, and Almanza was back on the scoresheet at 32 to put the visitors three clear before the half-hour mark had fully ticked by. Herrera's R. Villarreal pulled one back almost immediately, at 33, but that was consolation arithmetic on a night the home side had no answer for. UMECIT sit third in the table with 25 points and their road form continues to travel; Herrera, still without a win from their opening five games, drop to 8 points and face a growing problem at the bottom of the standings. This was also the second meeting between these clubs, and Herrera has yet to take anything from UMECIT across either fixture. Queue up Almanza's 32nd-minute finish, the one that slammed the door shut, and you'll see exactly why UMECIT are one of the league's toughest road sides right now.
