Match Recap
Jefferson Savarino did not need a full ninety minutes to settle this one. The Venezuelan winger ripped through Coritiba with a hat-trick inside 35 minutes, striking in the 30th, 49th and 65th before Luciano Acosta piled on a fourth deep into stoppage time to turn a routine win into a rout. Fluminense have now won three of their last five in the Serie A, climbing to fifth on 48 points, while ninth-placed Coritiba, despite arriving on a two-game winning run, had no answer once Savarino found his rhythm. The two sides had shared a draw the last time they met, so this lopsided scoreline marks a real shift in the balance between them. With Kaio Jorge still well clear atop the league's scoring charts, Savarino's treble is a reminder of the gap that can open on any given night. Four goals, one unstoppable player, and a Coritiba defense that never found its footing, press play below to watch Savarino's hat-trick unfold minute by minute.
