Match Recap
Gimnasia L.P. looked to have this one closed out until D. Zalazar buried a 90th-minute equalizer for Banfield, snatching a point right at the death in this Liga Profesional Argentina clash. The hosts had led twice: A. Auzmendi opened the scoring in the 20th minute, and after L. Gomez leveled for Banfield in the 38th, P. Silva Torrejon restored Gimnasia's advantage in the 62nd. It looked like enough to seal the win and extend their edge over a struggling Banfield side, winless in their last five and sitting 12th, while Gimnasia sit sixth with two wins from their own five. History favored the hosts too, having won the only previous meeting between the sides. But Zalazar had other ideas, striking in stoppage time to deny Gimnasia L.P. all three points and salvage something from a game Banfield had trailed for most of the afternoon. Four goals, two lead changes, and a heartbreaker at the final whistle. Watch how Zalazar's last-gasp strike unfolds in the highlights below.
