Match Recap
Atletico San Luis had gone five Liga MX matches without a single win, sitting rock-bottom of the table with just three points and a form line that read DLDDL. Then they walked into the Estadio BBVA and dismantled Monterrey 3-1. D. Rodriguez set the tone inside five minutes, and R. Llorente doubled the lead before the half-hour mark to leave the home side chasing. H. Cuypers pulled one back for Monterrey in the 73rd minute and briefly made it interesting, but O. Macias buried a third just six minutes later to kill the contest. Monterrey, who had looked solid on nine points and three wins from five, could not hold the pressure of a side that had nothing to lose and everything to prove. San Luis split the head-to-head record with Monterrey at one win apiece over their last two meetings, and you'll want to watch every angle of how Macias finished in the 79th minute to seal it.
