Tromso 0–0 Sarpsborg 08 FF

Tromso's three-match winning run came to an abrupt halt as Sarpsborg 08 FF held them to a goalless draw in Eliteserien, a result that will sting a side sitting third on 35 points and looking to press their promotion credentials. Despite arriving on the back of three wins from their last five, Tromso could not find a way through a Sarpsborg defence that had conceded freely enough to sit eighth on just 23 points. The visitors, who entered on a miserable run of one win in five, earned what may turn out to be one of their most valuable points of the season. It was also the first time Tromso failed to beat Sarpsborg 08 FF in their recent meetings, having won the only previous encounter between the two sides. With P. Christiansen leading the Eliteserien scoring charts on nine goals and neither side putting one in the net today, the highlights package here is all about the chances that came agonisingly close, but never crossed the line.
