Match Recap
Start came into this Eliteserien fixture having lost their only previous meeting with Brann, and for much of Sunday's game the pattern looked set to repeat. Ousmane Diallo Toure broke the deadlock in the 44th minute, giving the home side a lead to protect and forcing Brann to chase the game. Brann, seventh in the table with 26 points and arriving on the back of two consecutive wins, pressed to level but could not find a way through a resolute Start defence. Four minutes into stoppage time, Jesper Cornelius put the result beyond doubt, making it 2-0 and sealing three points that lift Start to 16. The home side came in as the lower-ranked team against opponents with ten more points and better recent form, and they still shut the door. Watch Cornelius's 94th-minute finish, because a goal that late to kill a game like this is worth seeing twice.
