Strict defensive focus dominated the full ninety minutes, preventing either attack from breaking the deadlock on the scoreboard. With league leader L. Messi holding top spot in the competition with two goals, neither side produced a goalscorer in this fixture to shift the golden boot standings. Instead, regulation time expired without a single goal scored, leaving the outcome to be decided from twelve yards out. Both clubs traded spot-kicks under immense pressure to determine who would claim victory after a scoreless marathon.
