Gainsborough Trinity 2–3 Anstey Nomads

Anstey Nomads looked out of this FA Cup tie when Gainsborough Trinity's A. Jackson leveled in the 59th minute, but the non-league visitors answered with two goals in nine minutes to seize control. T. Chitiza put Anstey back in front in the 72nd, and T. Liversidge made it 3-1 in the 80th before C. Brown's 87th-minute reply set up a nervy finish that Gainsborough Trinity ultimately couldn't rescue. Five goals in total, with J. Thomas opening the scoring for Anstey Nomads back in the 43rd minute, made this one of the giddier scorelines of the FA Cup weekend. Neither side sits among the league's recognized top scorers this season, but on this occasion four different players found the net across both ends, turning a cup tie into a genuine shootout. Anstey Nomads held their nerve when it mattered, surviving a stoppage-adjacent scare to advance 3-2. For a match that swung twice in the final half hour, the real drama is in how Liversidge's 80th-minute strike nearly got buried by Brown's late reply, watch how close Gainsborough Trinity came to snatching a share of it.
