Match Recap
R. Peetson's goal six minutes from time handed FC Levadia Tallinn a hard-earned 2-1 win over Laagri and kept the Meistriliiga leaders firmly in front on 53 points. The game looked to be heading for a share of the spoils after A. Binate cancelled out M. Ainsalu's 19th-minute opener with a first-half leveller for the hosts. Ainsalu, the Meistriliiga's seventh-highest scorer with seven goals to his name, had given Levadia a composed start, but Laagri refused to fold. It took Peetson's late intervention to finally separate the two sides, with Levadia picking up a third win from their last five Meistriliiga outings. Laagri, sitting on 25 points and winless in both of their previous meetings with today's visitors, looked close to claiming a famous scalp before Peetson had the final say. His 84th-minute finish is the moment this game will be remembered for.
