UCV Moquegua 0–2 Cienciano

Cienciano made light work of a rough patch of form, with Neri Bandiera and Carlos Garcés striking three minutes apart late in the first half to sink UCV Moquegua 2-0 in the Primera División. Bandiera opened it in the 37th minute, and Garcés doubled the lead in the 40th, turning a tense scoreline into a comfortable one before the break. The result tells two different stories: UCV Moquegua sit 17th with just one win in their last five, while Cienciano, seventh and also with one win in that stretch, at least found the finishing touch they'd been missing. It extends Cienciano's dominance in this fixture too, having won the previous meeting between the sides without UCV Moquegua managing a response yet. Two goals inside three minutes can swing a match faster than a scoreline suggests, and this one was decided before the hour mark.
