Match Recap
Kion Etete did it twice, and Newport needed every bit of it after falling behind inside seven minutes. Andrew Dallas put Walsall ahead early, but Newport County answered fast: Etete leveled things on 19 minutes, Michael Adu-Poku put the hosts in front four minutes later, and Etete came back to complete his brace just after the hour to seal a 3-1 comeback win in the FA Cup. Walsall had the perfect start and nothing to show for it by full time, undone by a 16-minute spell either side of the half-hour mark that flipped the tie on its head. Neither side's league form factored into it, just a quick response when it mattered most. Etete's second goal, the one that put real daylight between the two sides after Walsall had led, is the moment worth rewinding for, so catch every one of the four goals in the highlights below.
