Match Recap
K. Espino broke Mixco hearts in the fifth minute of stoppage time, rescuing Comunicaciones with a 90+5 equalizer that turned a certain Liga Nacional defeat into a hard-earned point. Mixco had looked set to claim the win after E. Garcia put them ahead in the 69th minute, and for more than twenty minutes the hosts were holding firm. Then Espino struck, and the scoreboard read 1-1. The result carries a familiar sting for Mixco: across their last two meetings with Comunicaciones they have not managed a single victory, taking one draw and one loss. Comunicaciones, by contrast, leave having again avoided defeat against a side that had done everything right for an hour. Neither scorer features among the Liga Nacional top ten, with N. Martinez sitting alone at the summit on 21 goals this season. Watch the replay to see exactly how Espino manufactured a finish in injury time that Mixco will be replaying in their heads for weeks.
