Match Recap
Floyd Samba wasn't done after one. The Norwich striker struck twice, either side of Rayan Cherki and Allan Andrade Elias, as Manchester City tore through their League Cup visitors for a 5-0 demolition that never looked in doubt after the half-hour mark. Samba opened the scoring in the 29th minute, Cherki doubled it three minutes later, and by the time Andrade Elias made it three just after the break the tie was already dead. Samba's second, in the 54th, turned a comfortable lead into a rout, and Ryan McAidoo's stoppage-time finish rubbed it in further. Five different scoring moments, one lopsided afternoon, and Norwich had no answer for any of it. With league leader T. Barry still yet to be troubled for top spot, City's night belonged entirely to Samba's brace and a cup tie that turned into a training exercise. Watch how Samba's second goal, in the 54th minute, put the game completely out of reach.
