Match Recap
Alvaro Marin Sesma needed just six minutes to put Celta de Vigo II ahead at home, but the lead survived barely a quarter of an hour. Edgar Gonzalez leveled for Sabadell on 23, and from there neither goalkeeper was seriously troubled again, the game settling into the kind of stalemate a 1-1 scoreline usually means. Context makes the draw read differently for each side. Sabadell arrive in this Segunda División clash sitting seventh with 11 points from five games and a WLWWD run behind them, so splitting the spoils away from home barely dents their momentum. Celta de Vigo II, 15th on 7 points off a scrappier LLWLW stretch, will take the point as a small step in the right direction after two wins in five. Neither Marin Sesma nor Gonzalez ranks among the league's top scorers this season, but both finishes were sharp enough to matter here. Two goals inside the first 23 minutes, then twenty-plus minutes of Celta de Vigo II pushing for a winner that never came, that's the shape of this one. See both strikes, and the chances that followed, in the highlights.
