Mixco 3–1 Antigua GFC

Mixco made this one look routine before the away side ever got going. Jerry opened the scoring in the 16th minute, Y. Pozuelos doubled the lead by the half-hour mark, and J. Bolanos put it out of reach early in the second half, leaving Antigua GFC chasing shadows in Liga Nacional. K. J. Lopez pulled one back late for Antigua, but by the 83rd minute it was already a formality. The result extends a lopsided recent history between these two: Mixco have won both of their last meetings with Antigua GFC, and this scoreline suggests that trend is only getting more comfortable. With N. Martinez still sitting atop the Liga Nacional scoring charts, none of Wednesday's four goals came from the league's elite company, but Mixco didn't need star power. They needed three clean finishes in the right moments, and they got exactly that. Catch Jerry's opener and Bolanos' second-half dagger in the highlights below.
