Match Recap
Fiorentina and Napoli shared the points in a scrappy Serie A draw that neither side will be thrilled with. Billy Gilmour put Napoli ahead just after the half-hour mark, striking in the 23rd minute to give the visitors control, but Fiorentina hit back through Ariel Jimenez six minutes into the second half to level things at 1-1. It's familiar territory for the hosts against this opponent, having lost both of their last two meetings without scoring, so a point and a goal will count as progress. Napoli arrived in better form and leave Florence having stretched their unbeaten run against Fiorentina to three, while the Viola sit 16th and still searching for consistency after a rocky start to the campaign. Neither Gilmour's finish nor Jimenez's equalizer will make season highlight reels, but both carried real weight in the moment, one settling nerves for Napoli, the other rescuing a result for Fiorentina. Watch how Jimenez turned the game on its head in the 51st minute.
