Gambia had to survive a second-half scare to see off Somalia in this Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, needing a late response to close out a 2-1 win. Ebrima Colley opened the scoring in the 18th minute, finishing early to put Gambia ahead. Somalia leveled through Bilal Njie in the 72nd minute, threatening to snatch a point on the road before Muhammed Badammosi settled it for Gambia just eleven minutes later, in the 83rd. None of today's scorers currently rank among the league's top ten marksmen, a list still led by M. Munetsi on two goals, but Badammosi's late strike mattered more than any spot on a leaderboard.
