Sacramento Republic 3–2 Oakland Roots

Sacramento Republic needed a response, not just a lead. A. Midence put them ahead inside two minutes, but Oakland Roots answered right before the break, with D. Trejo leveling and P. Wilson stealing the lead deep into stoppage time. The USL Championship clash threatened to slip away from the home side until L. Desmond dragged Sacramento level again in the 81st minute. Then, with the clock bleeding into the 90th, K. Edwards struck the winner to complete the comeback and send Sacramento Republic to a 3-2 win over Oakland Roots. Five goals, two lead changes, and a finish nobody saw settled until the very end. The result keeps Sacramento third in the table on 48 points, while Oakland sit 10th on 38, both sides riding identical WDDWW form into this one. None of that mattered once Edwards found the net in the 90th. Watch exactly how he beat the Oakland backline in the highlights below.
