Match Recap
D. Ivanovic put Nea Salamis to the sword before halftime, scoring twice inside the opening 34 minutes to hand AEK Larnaca complete control at the break. The away side never let up. R. Bajic added a third in the 53rd minute, Y. Chacon made it four just six minutes later, and the rout was complete long before S. Grandsir grabbed a 90th-minute consolation for the hosts. AEK Larnaca opened their 1. Division campaign with three points and a convincing statement of intent, while Nea Salamis are left to regroup after a chastening afternoon that offered almost nothing to build on. With league leader R. Mmaee sitting on 21 goals and the season barely underway, Ivanovic's brace is the kind of early form that earns attention fast. Watch the highlights to see exactly how he took both chances and why this one got out of hand so quickly.
