AFC Rushden & Diamonds 2–1 Braintree

AFC Rushden & Diamonds needed a second-half response to turn this FA Cup tie around, and they found it. Braintree struck first through J. Mensah in the 30th minute, looking set to carry that lead into the break, only for T. Tejan to haul Rushden level four minutes before half-time. The home side kept pushing after the restart, and J. Clifton settled it in the 78th minute to complete the comeback and send AFC Rushden & Diamonds through 2-1. It was the kind of tie that swung on momentum rather than control, Braintree's early edge wiped out by a Rushden side that refused to let the scoreline stand. Neither Mensah nor Tejan nor Clifton sits among the league's recognised scoring names this season, but on this FA Cup afternoon it was their moments that mattered. Watch how Clifton's late strike unfolds in the highlights below and see exactly how AFC Rushden & Diamonds turned a losing position into a cup win.
