Match Recap
K. Mixtur's 85th-minute strike dragged Sudtirol level and sent this Coppa Italia match to penalties, where they held their nerve to win 4-3 and progress. Catanzaro had twice been in front on home soil. N. Pyyhtia put the visitors ahead in the 17th minute before Simone Pafundi levelled in the 27th, and Pietro Iemmello then restored the hosts' lead eight minutes into the second half. That cushion held for more than half an hour until Mixtur struck with five minutes left, forcing the shootout that ultimately ended Catanzaro's campaign. None of tonight's scorers rank among the Coppa Italia's top finishers, with M. Baturina still leading the chart on three goals, but the match will be remembered for a single moment deep in the second half. Watch Mixtur's 85th-minute equalizer in the highlights above and see exactly how Sudtirol refused to go quietly.
