Match Recap
A goalless draw at Angers settled nothing in the Ligue 1 mid-table scrap, but it says plenty that Lorient walked away the happier side. Angers sit 15th on 7 points with just one win in five, and this stalemate stretches their patchy form without doing real damage. Lorient, eighth with 11 points and three wins from five, came in on the better run and leave having protected it, a point that costs them little. Neither side could break through against a tight back line, and in the head-to-head between these two Angers now have a win and a loss from their last two meetings, this draw adding a third chapter without a winner. E. Lepaul leads the Ligue 1 scoring charts with 27 goals, but he had no say here, and nobody from this match troubles that top ten. A goalless 90 minutes rarely makes headlines, but the defending that kept two attacks at bay all afternoon is still worth watching back.
