Match Recap
Jonathan Calleri needed just 15 minutes to settle this one, and Sao Paulo made it stand up for the full ninety. The striker's early finish was the only goal of the game as Sao Paulo edged Internacional 1-0 in a tight Serie A clash between two sides scrapping in the bottom half of the table. Sao Paulo sit 12th on 33 points, Internacional a place further back in 18th with 28, and this result stretches their head-to-head dominance: three meetings this season, two wins and a draw for Sao Paulo, still unbeaten against their rivals. Internacional had chances to respond but never found a way past a well-organized Sao Paulo backline protecting that slender lead. It wasn't pretty, but it didn't need to be, Calleri's strike was enough to decide a game with few clear-cut opportunities. Want to see the goal that separated these two?
