Match Recap
Rômulo put his name on the scoresheet twice as RB Leipzig turned a routine Bundesliga fixture into a rout of SV Elversberg. It was goalless at the break, then Tidiam Gomis broke the deadlock three minutes into the second half and Leipzig never let up. Rômulo doubled the lead just after the hour, Christoph Baumgartner made it three with 84 minutes gone, and Rômulo added a second of his own deep into stoppage time to seal a 4-0 demolition. The table had suggested a tighter contest: Elversberg sat sixth with 10 points, one above Leipzig in seventh, and arrived on a mixed WLDLW run while Leipzig's own form read LWLWL. None of that showed once Gomis got the hosts moving. For Elversberg, there's little to take from a night where the final 45 minutes simply got away from them. For Leipzig, four different-feeling goals in one half, each with its own build-up, its own finish, its own moment to watch back, and Rômulo's second, arriving right at the death, is the one worth seeing first.
