Match Recap
Instituto Cordoba didn't just beat Independiente, they dismantled them, piling on four goals in a one-sided demolition at the Liga Profesional Argentina table. Jeremías Ezequiel Lázaro got it rolling in the 16th minute, and although Maximiliano Meza pulled one back for Independiente six minutes later, Instituto never let them settle. Hernán De La Fuente restored the two-goal cushion just after the restart, Matías Gallardo made it three in the 65th, and Alex Luna put the finishing touch on the rout with 10 minutes left. The visitors arrived with a stronger run of form than their ninth-place ranking suggested, and they backed it up on the road against a side they'd never beaten in their last two meetings. Four different scorers, five goals in total, and a result that will sting Independiente far more than the table position implies. Watch how Luna's late strike sealed the 4-1 demolition and see every one of the five goals that turned this into a rout.
