Match Recap
Ivan Oblyakov's brace and a one-sided demolition at the back end up telling CSKA Moscow's story at the final whistle, as they put three past a hapless Rodina Moskva without reply. Danil Krugovoy got the party started in the 24th minute, poking home to settle any early nerves, before Oblyakov struck twice himself, first on 35 minutes and again in the 80th to put a emphatic seal on it. The Premier League scoreline flattered a Rodina side that simply had no answer. For CSKA, currently fifth with 19 points and riding a form line of three wins from their last five, this is exactly the kind of result that keeps the pressure on the pack above them. Rodina, rooted in 15th with just five points and still without a win in their last five, will have to regroup fast. None of CSKA's scorers currently sit among the league's top ten, where A. Sobolev leads the way on 15, but Oblyakov's double here says he's closing the gap. Catch both of his strikes, plus Krugovoy's opener, in the highlights below.
