Match Recap
Dawda Camara Sankharé needed just three minutes to settle this one, and Alverca made it count for the full ninety. His early strike was enough to see off Rio Ave 1-0 in a Primeira Liga fixture that Alverca controlled without ever needing a second goal. The win nudges Alverca to 8 points and 10th, riding a WWLDL run that's shown real signs of life after a rocky start, while Rio Ave stay stuck on 4 points down in 16th, with only one win to show from their last five matches. History favored the home side too: Alverca haven't lost to Rio Ave in their last two meetings, taking one win and sharing a draw. It's a slim margin on the scoreboard but a clear statement in form. Watch Camara Sankharé's third-minute finish, the goal that decided everything before most fans had even settled into their seats.
