Alianza Petrolera 1–0 Junior

Ever Meza needed just four minutes to settle this one. Junior's forward struck early at Estadio de Techo, and Alianza Petrolera spent the rest of the night chasing a game they never found, falling 1-0 in Primera A to hand the visiting side all three points. The result is a boost for a Junior side that had gone winless in their last five league outings, drawing twice and losing twice before this trip, yet still sit second in the Primera A table with 35 points. Alianza Petrolera, rooted in 17th with just 17 points, applied pressure but could not unpick a Junior backline content to protect Meza's gift. The only previous meeting between these clubs ended in a stalemate, so Junior broke that deadlock in the most ruthless way possible. League top-scorer A. Morelos continues to lead the Primera A charts on 17 goals, but tonight it was Meza's name on the scoresheet. Pull up the replay and see how he put Junior ahead before most fans had found their seats.
