Match Recap
Barcelona didn't just beat Real Betis, they buried them in a seven-goal thriller at the Benito Villamarín. Lamine Yamal set the tone after just 10 minutes, and by the time Rodrigo Hernandez Cascante struck in the 41st, Barcelona led 2-1 and never looked back. Betis briefly threatened a response through Diego Valentín Gómez and Abde Ezzalzouli, but Gabriel Jesus, Eric García and Daniel Olmo Carvajal turned the second half into a procession, stretching the scoreline to 5-2. It's now two defeats from two meetings for Betis against this opponent, a pattern that held up again in La Liga. Barcelona arrived unbeaten in five and leave with a perfect record intact, while Betis, sitting third, found out just how far the gap to the league leaders still is. Yamal's opener also keeps him among the division's top ten scorers this season. Seven goals, five of them from the away side, and a Betis defense that had no answer. Watch how Barcelona's rout unfolded goal by goal, starting with Yamal's early strike that set the night's tone.
