Morecambe 3–0 Darlington 1883

Morecambe didn't just beat Darlington 1883 in this FA Cup tie, they dismantled them. The game was goalless and tense until the hour mark approached, then Morecambe turned the screw in a brutal 18-minute spell: M. Daly broke the deadlock in the 50th minute, E. Newby doubled the lead just nine minutes later, and I. Buckley finished the rout in the 68th to make it 3-0. Three goals, three different scorers, one completely one-sided second half. Darlington never found an answer once Morecambe's attack clicked into gear, and what had been a tight cup contest turned into exactly the kind of non-league shock story the FA Cup is built on, just with Morecambe on the right side of it. None of the damage came in a rush of injury-time chaos either, this was a sustained, clinical teardown from the 50th minute onward. Want to see how Daly broke the deadlock and how quickly it then unraveled for Darlington? The goals, in order, are below.
