Match Recap
Zenit stormed into a two-goal lead inside 16 minutes, and by the time Baltika found their footing, they were chasing a game that had already slipped away. Maksim Glushenkov opened the scoring in the 9th minute, and Aleksandr Sobolev doubled it seven minutes later before Brayan Gil pulled one back for the hosts. Luiz Henrique restored Zenit's two-goal cushion just after the break, and although Ilya Petrov's 81st-minute strike made it 2-3, Baltika couldn't complete the comeback in a five-goal Premier League thriller. The result extends Zenit's dominance in this fixture, where they now hold a perfect record over Baltika, and lifts them to 15 points and fifth in the table on the back of a WLWLW run. Sobolev's goal keeps him top of the Premier League scoring charts, while Luiz Henrique's strike puts him among the league's ten most prolific finishers this season. Five goals, two second-half twists, and a Baltika fightback that fell just short, watch every strike from Glushenkov's opener to Petrov's late reply in the highlights below.
