Match Recap
Internacional's grip on this Serie A meeting with Chapecoense-sc looked shaky when Maurício Garcez leveled in first-half stoppage time, canceling out Bruno Henrique's 25th-minute opener and sending the teams in level at the break. Johan Carbonero ended that uncertainty on 67 minutes, finishing the move that gave the visitors a 2-1 lead they never surrendered. The result matters well beyond three points: Internacional sit 18th in Serie A with 28 points from recent form of one win in five, while Chapecoense-sc, bottom of the table on 17 points, have now lost all their meetings with this opponent and stay pointless after their five most recent outings yielded only two wins. Kaio Jorge leads the division with 24 goals, though none of tonight's scorers are chasing him, which makes Carbonero's 67th-minute winner the defining image of the night. Go watch it.
